Finite-temperature quarkyonic matter with an excluded volume model

چکیده

We introduce a theoretical framework to analyze the thermal properties of recently proposed “excluded volume” model quarkyonic matter. This entails proposing finite temperature distribution functions and entropy functionals constrained by internal consistency. use formalism developed here effect on quark onset as function baryon density. find that density at which phase emerges decreases only slightly with temperature, an produced large Nc. furthermore increases quarks produced. The presented can be used compute equation state hot dense matter is relevance neutron star mergers.

Quarkyonic phase in dense two color matter

We present results from simulations of two color QCD with two Wilson quark flavors in the presence of a quark chemical potential at two different lattice spacings. The equation of state, conformal anomaly, superfluid order parameter, and Polyakov line are all discussed. Our results suggest that the transitions from hadronic to quark matter and from confined to deconfined matter occur at distinc...

Neutron matter at finite temperature

The nuclear equation of state plays a central role in the physics of neutron stars and core-collapse supernovae. Renormalization group methods coupled with effective field theory offer a systematic approach to nuclear matter: For low-momentum interactions Vlow k with cutoffs around 2 fm−1, the strong short-range repulsion in conventional nucleon-nucleon (NN) interactions and the tensor force ar...

A finite excluded volume bond-fluctuation model: static properties of dense polymer melts revisited.

The classical bond-fluctuation model (BFM) is an efficient lattice Monte Carlo algorithm for coarse-grained polymer chains where each monomer occupies exclusively a certain number of lattice sites. In this paper we propose a generalization of the BFM where we relax this constraint and allow the overlap of monomers subject to a finite energy penalty epsilon. This is done to vary systematically t...

Queueing process with excluded-volume effect.

We introduce an extension of the M/M/1 queueing process with a spatial structure and excluded-volume effect. The rule of particle hopping is the same as for the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP). A stationary-state solution is constructed in a slightly arranged matrix product form of the open TASEP. We obtain the critical line that separates the parameter space depending on wh...

Quarkyonic Matter and the Phase Diagram of QCD

Quarkyonic matter is a new phase of QCD at finite temperature and density which is distinct from the confined and de-confined phases. Its existence is unambiguously argued in the large numbers of colors limit, Nc → ∞, of QCD. Hints of its existence for QCD, Nc = 3, are shown in lattice Monte-Carlo data and in heavy ion experiments. 1 Quarkyonic Matter and the Large Nc limit of
